Office Administrator and Fire & Security Engineer


 

Office Administrator

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced and professional Office Administrator join our team. This is a key accounts-focused administrative role, supporting the smooth and efficient running of the business.

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong communication skills and solid experience using Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Xero (or similar accounting software) is essential.

Role Overview

The Office Administrator will be responsible for managing core administrative and financial processes, supporting credit control, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with operational coordination across the business.

This position requires strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and managing supplier invoices and purchase orders
  • Raising and managing customer invoices and overseeing the payment process
  • Managing the credit control function, including proactive recovery of overdue accounts
  • Inbox management
  • Processing customer documentation and installation paperwork
  • Maintaining and updating the customer database and filing systems
  • Supporting the coordination of the sales team, assisting with lead tracking and sales administration
  • Timesheet management
  • Contacting customers to arrange appointments and bookings
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings where required
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with company procedures

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Previous experience in an administrative and accounts-focused role
  • Proven experience using Xero (or equivalent accounting software)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, proactive and solution-focused approach

Job Type:

  • Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 25-30 per week

Fire & Security Engineer

We’re looking for a confident, experienced Fire & Security Engineer with at least 3 years’ hands-on experience in fault finding, maintenance, and installation.

If you take pride in your work, solve problems properly (not temporarily), and want to be part of a professional, forward-thinking team — we want to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining and fault-finding across a range of systems, delivering high-quality work and excellent service to our customers.

You'll work on:

  • Fire alarm systems (conventional & addressable)
  • Intruder alarms
  • CCTV Systems
  • Access control systems

This is a varied role — no two days are the same.

What We're Looking For

Must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in fire & security
  • Strong fault-finding skills across multiple systems
  • Experience with installation and commissioning
  • Good working knowledge of relevant British Standards
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A professional, customer-focused attitude
